September 5, 2020: Bake Sale at Rural Museum

BAKE SALE AND POTATO, PASTA AND MACARONI SALADS SALE

LABOR DAY WEEKEND SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 FROM 9 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M.

AT THE RURAL MUSEUM ON NORTH SHORE ROAD

Due to COVID-19, The Edinburg Historical Society has cancelled all their monthly meetings and museum activities for the year including the Historic “Edinburgh” Day and the Edinburg Fall Festival. These two festivals in July and September are the only fundraisers that EHS has during the year.

To compensate for the loss of funds from the festivals, EHS will hold a bake sale and salad sale on Saturday, September 5th from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Masks are mandatory along with social distancing.  An assortment of cookies, pies, fudge, and breads will be available along with the potato, pasta, and macaroni salads. Please support EHS by dropping by and picking up the prepackaged cookies, candy, and salad.

We have had many visitors at the Copeland Covered Bridge so far this year. If you visit the bridge and have purchased a share in someone’s name, please be sure to check the names in the bulletin board at the bridge. EHS took on the job of copying all the names from the sign that was deteriorating and the listing has not been proof-read yet. If you find an error or your name(s) is missing, please contact Marge Ludwig using the above address. Please note that it is alphabetized by the first name of the individual but will be listed alphabetically by the last name before the permanent listing is completed. Please note that the old picnic table has been replaced at the Copeland Covered Bridge so plan on using it this summer.

Your donation of $25 will purchase a Copeland Site share in someone’s honor, a birthday, anniversary, or graduation or in memory of a loved one. Send your check for $25 to the Edinburg Historical Society, PO Box 801, Northville, NY 12134 with the person’s name; whether the donation is in honor of, in memory of, for yourself, or as a gift; and with your name and address to receive an acknowledgement of your donation. Please also include your telephone number in case Marge needs additional information.

TO ALL OUR MEMBERS AND THOSE THAT WOULD LIKE TO JOIN – we will not be collecting member dues of $5 for an individual or $10 for a family this September. If, however, you wish, you may send a donation to the address above.
