Mission Statement

The Mission of the Edinburg Historical Society is to promote the preservation of historic sites, documents, records, artifacts, and other materials that will support the conservation of and research into the history of Saratoga County and the Town of Edinburg in particular.

The purpose of the Society is to build and maintain collections of historical holdings, assist with genealogy research, and explore and promote local civilization and other matters relating to the history, culture, and traditions of Edinburg. The Society maintains two museums, sponsors programs of historical and cultural interest, and is actively involved in restoration of historical sites within the Town of Edinburg.

The long-range goals are to continue to maintain our museums, archives, and historical sites; continue to offer programs of historical and cultural interest; and continue to generate interest by the general public in our local history and heritage.
